BILLET FAMILY NEEDED FOR 2022-23 SEASON

The Ottawa Lady Sens Juniors are looking for a family willing to billet a player for the 2022-2023 season.  

Why should you consider being a billet family?  In many cases, the billet family experience becomes a lasting relationship between the player, the player’s family and the billet family.  Often, the billet family will gain a “new family member” whose career they can follow through college/university and beyond!  These girls often serve as great role models not only in their new community but also for younger family members who watch their dedication and sacrifice in pursuing their goals.  As a thank you, billet families receive a monthly stipend to assist with the additional costs as well as the opportunity to become a part of the Lady Sens organization.  Last year, one of our billet families took on an active role within our team by announcing for all of our home games.   

For a Junior level hockey player who leaves home to follow their dreams, they are leaving family and friends while still being expected to perform both on and off the ice in a new community.  Without a caring billet family to ease this transition, these young athletes may not make the decision to follow their passion.
